The five basic ingredients for a mango salsa usually are mangoes, red onions, jalapenos (green medium sized chili pepper, hotter and sweeter when its red), cilantro leaves and lime juice. All fresh.
However, I am not crazy about the taste of lime juice and I couldn’t lay my hands on cilantro leaves so why not switch some ingredients and make this mango salsa my way? Here I have fresh mangoes, spring onions, red onions, an orange (for its juice) and pepper.
Mangoes contain vitamins A, C, B6, E and K. They are rich in antioxidants which means they are good for the skin. They are a good source of dietary fiber. Mangoes are alleged to help promote healthy sex because of its vitamin E content which is said to trigger the activity of the sex hormones.
All mixed up with a little orange juice.
