. . . bananas, orange juice and groundnuts are what I have in this smoothie mix. Papaya (pawpaw) is a fruit I’ve always taken for granted in terms of its nutritional value until a few weeks ago.
So what changed? Well, I started receiving papayas from one of my siblings. Since I have a weakness for smoothies, I had to make smoothies with them. Then I had to learn about the benefits of eating papaya.
Papayas are rich in vitamin C, vitamin B, antioxidants as well as minerals like potassium and copper. Papayas are also rich in fiber. Vitamin C and antioxidants are good for your skin. The fiber is good for the digestive system and I also learnt that the consumption of papayas is good for the heart. Probably because of all the nutrients it contains including pantothenic acid. Don’t ask me what it means, google it
Knowing about the nutritional value of my chilled yummy bowl of smoothie makes it more . . . Fill in the gap
