A FRESH START . . .

A fresh start? Yes. Another year, another set of opportunities, another set of goals, another list of things to achieve and or to consolidate on. Where would you like to be at the end of 2016? If you have not given it any thought then it is time you do so. Why? Well lets just look at it this way. Without goals, you have no plans. This means that you will drift the year away, you will find yourself accommodating and fulfilling the whims and excesses of others and at the end of the year you will find yourself where you started the year with little or no substantial improvement physically, mentally, financially, emotionally and spiritually. As the saying goes “If you fail to plan, then you plan to fail.”

If you have given it some thought then you should have answers. And if you have answers then you should have goals. Remember that other saying: “A goal without a plan is just a wish”? So it follows that you must make plans on how to achieve those set goals. The goals should be achievable within a reasonable time frame. If those goals are not achieved within the set time, then maybe it is time to re-evaluate your plans or give it more time. But keep at it, don’t stop.  Looking ahead, what do you see for yourself at the end of 2016? I ask because if you don’t see it, you can’t get it. If you get it, and you are not prepared for it, you may not be able to keep it. God forbid!

It goes without saying that your goals and plans must be in writing.

Bottom line, write down your goal(s). Break it down into stages where necessary. Prepare and work towards achieving those set of goals that will lead to an improved version of yourself and your circumstances at the end of 2016. Above all, stay focused and commit your plans into God’s hands. He is faithful, He will see you through in the name of Jesus.

Have an interesting and glorious 2016. Happy New Year! :)
